How does the meal voucher Gastro Pass CARD work? Do you cooperate with Visa or MC?
The card works as a standard payment card. However, it is a private card, issued by the Sodexo company, which means the whole production process and card management are under our control. Thanks to that, we have been able to come up with a solution remarkable for its user-friendliness and quickness.
Will the meal voucher card be as tax advantageous as the paper meal voucher?
Yes, the electronic meal voucher card is tax advantageous as well, no change there.
How can I order the card for my employees?
Please send us your company details using the form under the 'I am interested in the card' headline in the Employer section. We will get in touch with you without delay.
How will the card be sent to the employee?
The cards may be sent in bulk to the employer's address, alternatively they may be sent to the corresponding employees' home addresses. The card is delivered in a sealed card envelope, together with instructions for use.
Who can top up the meal voucher card?
The electronic meal credit may only be topped up by the employer.
How is the electronic meal credit topped up?
The employer orders the meal credit using the Sodexo order portal at mojeSodexo.cz, i.e. the same way they order paper meal vouchers. Sodexo will see to it that the meal credit is added to the corresponding employees' personal accounts.
Can the employer let the employees choose between the card and paper meal vouchers?
Yes, the employer can choose between those two. Both the paper meal vouchers and electronic meal credit may be ordered within a single order. Still within that order, meal voucher cards may be ordered as well.
How will the card be protected from potential misuse?
All transactions will be carried out online. In some cases, the PIN will be requested when making payment.
How is the card activated before its first use?
The card does not need to be activated in any special way, it is activated automatically during the first contact payment; during the transaction, the employee will set his/her PIN, which s/he will then use whenever needed.
How can the employees check their account balance?
A user account is automatically created for every single card. Upon their logging-in, users will find their current account balance, overview of transactions and other information related to the use of the card. The account balance can also be checked via our Sodexo customer care line.
What if the employee forgets the PIN or wishes to change it?
If the employee happens to forget the PIN, s/he can reset the PIN in his/her user account and set the new PIN while making the next payment (which needs to be a contact one) at a POS terminal. The employee will proceed the same way if s/he wishes to change the PIN.
What if the card gets lost or stolen?
If the card gets lost or stolen, it may be easily blocked so that the funds on the card account are protected. A request for a new card can then be submitted.
Is it possible to withdraw cash from an ATM or using cashback service at a partner place?
No, withdrawing cash from an ATM or using cashback service is not possible. The card may only be used for the payment of meals or food.
Can the employee pay for a part of the purchase with cash or by a standard payment card?
Yes, that is possible.
What kind of device will the restaurant/store need to accept the meal voucher Gastro Pass CARD?
The Sodexo meal voucher card is accepted by standard payment terminals, tablets or smartphones equipped with the Sodexo payment application. The phone/tablet needs to support the NFC technology.

How does the meal voucher Gastro Pass CARD work?
The GPC works as a standard (bank) payment card. It features its own account, to which your employer sends your electronic meal vouchers. You can use the card to pay for meals in restaurants or canteens, for food in supermarkets, fast foods, at the butcher‘s… Simply the same way you used to use the paper meal vouchers.
Where can I pay with the card?
You will find a list of partner places accepting the Gastro Pass CARD in your account on www.sodexo-ucet.cz, just click „Learn more“ in the „Where to pay with Gastro Pass CARD“ section. You will be redirected to our search engine for partner places, the search filter will be preset automatically.
ATTENTION: It is not possible to use the card at self-checkout machines in retail chains!
What is the Sodexo personal account?
An account related to your Gastro Pass CARD, automatically set up by Sodexo. In the account, you will find all information and tools you need to manage your card (overview of transactions, your account balance, handbook...). The account is available on www.sodexo-ucet.cz.
How can I log in to my personal account?

A) If you have been handed the card by your employer

You will need the letter which we send with the card and in whose upper part, your card number and your PIN are written. Click „First Login“ on www.sodexo-ucet.cz and follow the instructions.

B) If the card has been delivered to your home address

You will need your card (its number) and the e-mail message sent by Sodexo („Order for the Gastro Pass CARD“). Click „I forgot my password“ on www.sodexo-ucet.cz. Fill in your username and e-mail address, to be found in the Sodexo e-mail message, and follow the instructions.
How can I obtain the card?
The cards may be sent in bulk to your employer‘s address, alternatively your own card may be sent to your home address. The card is delivered in a sealed card envelope, together with a handout on how to activate and use the card. Your employer will decide the delivery method.
Who can top up the meal voucher card?
The electronic meal credit may only be topped up by your employer.
How is the card protected from potential misuse?
All transactions are carried out online. In some cases, the PIN will be requested when making payment.
How is the card activated before its first use?
The card does not need to be activated in any special way. The card is activated automatically during the first payment which must be a contact one (i.e. you need to insert the card into a payment terminal). During the transaction, you will be asked to set your own PIN. Your PIN must be a four-digit number! If your card has been delivered to your home address, you need to confirm the receipt of the card in your Sodexo personal account before its first use. Failure to do that means you will not be able to use the card for payments.
What if I forget or wish to change the PIN?
If you forget your PIN, visit www.sodexo-ucet.cz and reset your PIN in your user account. While making the next payment (which needs to be a contact one, i.e. you need to insert the card into the payment terminal), you will be asked to set your new PIN. Proceed the same way if you wish to change the PIN.
Where can I check my account balance?
You will find your current account balance in your Sodexo personal account. The account balance can also be checked anytime via our Sodexo customer care line at 233 113 435.
What if the card gets lost or stolen?
If the card gets lost or stolen, it may be easily blocked in the Sodexo personal account so that the funds on the card account are protected. You can also block the card by calling the Sodexo customer care line at 233 113 435. A request for a new card can then be submitted.
Is it possible to withdraw cash from an ATM or using cashback service at a partner place?
No, withdrawing cash from an ATM or using cashback service is not possible. The card may only be used for the payment of meals or food.
Can I pay for a part of the purchase with cash or by a standard payment card?
Yes, that is possible.
What shall I do if the payment at a terminal is declined?
The connection to the internet may fail when first trying to use the card for payment. If that is the case, please ask the attendant to try a second time. Should the second attempt be unsuccessful as well, please let us know. Click „I WOULD LIKE TO REPORT A PROBLEM REGARDING PAYMENT WITH THE CARD“ on www.gpcard.cz/zamestnanec and use the provided form.
What shall I do in case contactless payments do not work?
Please try and resort to contact payment: insert the card into the payment terminal and enter your PIN.
How can I manage my card in my Sodexo personal account?
Use www.sodexo-ucet.cz to log in to your account on your computer. If you wish to access your account using your mobile phone, please download Sodexo Personal Account, a special application available in Play Store (for phones using Android), or in App Store (for phones using iOS). Then, all you need to do is click the relevant icon on the display of your phone.
